Wood takeaway has been part of the South Ham community for decades. Whilst it's no gourmet dining experience it's well above average and offers a choice of freshly cooked fish and chip as well as the chinese takeaway dishes. Expect a queue as it is very popular at peak times. There's parking nearby. They only take cash however a nearby Coop has a cash machine.

Best chips in Basingstoke (well, maybe 2nd best to Olivers but much quicker!) Chinese really good too. Quick service reasonably priced. CASH ONLY
Great food and very good fish and chips, been here with my parents since kids. When i visit my parents we still quite often get meals from here! great staffs too!
First time ordering and when we arrived it was busy which was a good sign. We ordered quite a lot, got home and the only thing that could have been better was the rib (was overcooked and dry) in the mix starter for 9, good portions split between two with enough for a full meal each tomorrow. Would def order again, thank you
